Message from the Founder

Welcome to the Children of Hope Village Foundation! My name is Denise Niwebyona, and I was born and raised here, among the beautiful hills of Rubanda, Uganda.
My love for children, and my desire to be part of their growth, began when I was just nine years old. I remember that day vividly. A group of foreign visitors came to our primary school, bringing us beautiful books and pens: gifts I will remember for the rest of my life. It was the first time I had ever seen white people, and they even let us touch their arms and hair. I already loved school, and that single experience filled me with joy. Watching their kindness, I told myself: “When I grow up, I want to do exactly what they did. I want to bring joy and hope to others.”
I first dreamed of becoming a nurse, but life led me into the tourism industry instead. Still, I never forgot the promise I had made as a child. In 2023, I took the leap and founded the Children of Hope Village Foundation in my remote, hilly home village. It is nestled between the peaceful shores of Lake Bunyonyi and the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Our purpose is simple: to build hope together by reaching the children who need it most. We believe that every act of generosity, no matter how small, can change a child's future.

Joseph
Joseph is a resilient and bright young orphan who consistently ranks at the top of his class. Despite losing his parents, his determination to build a promising future never wavers. By providing him with daily meals, clothing, and essential school supplies, we ensure nothing stands between him and his dreams.
Sylvia
Sylvia is a kind, hardworking girl who loves to learn. Although her family struggles with extreme poverty, she stays smiling and eager to go to school. We can help her by providing:
- School fees to keep her in class
- Daily meals
- Books and a uniform
Maria
Maria is a joyful girl living in our village. Her parents work hard in the fields, but cannot afford her education. However, Maria practices writing numbers in the dirt with sticks and sings to cheer her neighbors.
